I forgot the play....

We got to attend a play at The Globe last night. Our tickets were off to the side, but we were grateful to get some last minute. It was a great experience!

The groundlings--they paid 5 pounds to stand for 2.5 hours. We decided it was worth 17 pounds to sit.

 The final curtain call.
A better shot of the inside of The Globe.

Luxury life!

We just checked in to our hotel and it is very nice compared to the other hotel. We enjoyed a great meal and are enjoying wi-fi for free. Hopefully all of your kids are in contact with you in some sort. We told them to limit their wi-fi time and enjoy each other. This group has really meshed and they are all getting to know each other. I couldn't be more proud of this group--what a great group. Here are just some fun pics of the last few days:

Megan always tries to photobomb my pictures
I usually chase her when I find out (look at the man on the right--he's thinking 'crazy Americans')
 So I got her back!
The picture may not show it, but we are enjoying our Cornwall Pasty!

It was very warm today and the heat may have gotten to us! We've had great weather--no rain-- and we are ready for our next day! Tomorrow we will visit Bath and Stratford!

Day 3

We left London nice and early to head towards Winchester to see the cathedral. A nice 2 hour bus ride gave us some time to catch up on sleep. We then went to Stonehenge--amazing! We are off to Bath to spend the night. Beautiful weather for spending my birthday with some great people.

Day 2

I'm struggling to find wi-fi so our posts might not be as often. Today we went on a bus tour of London and saw the changing of the guards. Very cool. After that, we went to Winsor castle and saw some of the Queen's home. We all slept well and were in better spirits today! Off to see a play at The Globe shortly.

Don't judge- some had McDonalds for lunch.
Windsor Castle
I tried a "selfie" with the Guards, but needed some help!

Day 1

We arrived in London around 7:00 AM London time and have been going full force ever since! Many of us didn't get a lot of sleep on the plane (crying babies, lack of space) and it is catching up with us! (Megan--don't hate me!)

We dropped our suitcases off at the hotel before taking a walking tour of London. During our tour, we were fortunate enough to see Princess Royal Anne (the Queen's daughter) drive past! Little bit of stardom for small Iowa kids! The group we were planning to meet up with got delayed so we spent the afternoon on our own while our tour guide, James, went to get them. We toured the Meseum of Natural History and the V&A Museum...neat stuff, but tough when we are running on such little sleep.
James is working on lining up a Shakespearean play for us to see in the Globe tomorrow night. For now, we are working on mastering the "tube" (London's subway).
Just for lizzy (she's all about selfies!)

....and we're off!!!

Today is the day! All 14 of us made it on time and through security. Mrs. Weems looked a little
'scetchy' so the officials had to take her for additional checking. Don't worry-everything checked out okay and we are now waiting for our first flight to Chicago!

 Waiting for our boarding passes!
